Lotte Duty Free to host live ecommerce show featuring Jo Malone and Korean star Lee Ji-hye
SOUTH KOREA. Lotte Duty Free is to host a ‘LDF LIVE’ event tomorrow evening (28 April) featuring Jo Malone London products and popular Korean broadcaster, singer and actress Lee Ji-hye.
The programme is timed to coincide with rising demand by Koreans for overseas travel following the easing of the country’s long-standing COVID-related restrictions.
As reported , Lotte Duty Free, South Korea’s number one travel retailer and world number two, has unleashed a wide array of promotions and incentives to boost travel-related shopping.
This collaboration featuring the popular star and The Estée Lauder Companies-owned brand is the first live broadcast to be featured in Lotte Duty Free’s wide-ranging ‘Travel is coming’ promotion launched last week. It leads off a series of live commerce shows designed to encourage Korean spending in the wake of outbound travel restarting. The broadcast ‘Jo Malone London suggested by Lee Ji-hye’, popularly known as 관종 언니 (‘Kwan-Jong’ or ‘attention-seeking sister’) will run from 8pm to 9pm tomorrow night. Lee Ji-hye will be the main MC, supported by two LDF LIVE show hosts. Ms Lee runs a popular YouTube programme with he husband Moon Jae-wan.
