Unbound reveals first brands for ecommerce platform

Set to launch on 28 July 2022, the multi-brand platform will also carry offerings from footwear brands Muck Boots and Hush Puppies, as well as apparel brands Rohan, Asquith of London, Boody, Noa Noa, Part Two, Kaffe, Soaked in Luxury, Cream and Lakeland Leather.

Formerly known as Electra Private Equity , the company plans to onboard the 14 partner brands by October 2022 in order to deliver a range of apparel and footwear offerings for its core 55-plus customer demographic.

Unbound Group chief executive officer Ian Watson said: “It’s great to see our team’s effort coming to fruition as we prepare for the launch of the Unbound platform.

“Over the past months we have carefully selected a number of brands that we are pleased to announce today, who we look to build a long-term partnership with and who will be part of our initial platform launch from 28th July. We look forward to developing more partnership opportunities over the coming months as we expand our curated offer.”

The ecommerce platform is expected to expand to wellness offerings at a later date.

Unbound Group also announced that its subsidiary Hotter “continues to trade in line with the board’s expectations for the year ending 5 February 2023”. The business did not provide figures.

In May, Hotter Shoes reported a double-digit increase in revenue for the first quarter of the financial year to 4 February 2023 as well as an improvement in its gross margin and growth in its active customer database.

On 22 June, Hotter Shoes’ newly revamped Solihull store won the title of Best Footwear Store Design at the Drapers Footwear Awards.
